Payroll Specialist
**Summary of Position**
This position will assist the Payroll Specialist in the entire bi-weekly payroll process for all YoungWilliams location employees. The Payroll Specialist will also assist with any other payroll related system maintenance within the HRIS system.
**Essential Job Requirements**
* Assists with the YoungWilliams biweekly payroll;
* Input of all new hire information as related to payroll and other changes into the HRIS system;
* Assists in reviewing all monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports processed by ADP for federal, state and local governments;
* Prepares and processes the complete payroll in the absence of other Payroll Specialists;
* Provides support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS issues, unexpected results or process flaws performing scheduled activities;
* Serve as a backup to the Payroll Specialist in his/her absence;
* Processes garnishments;
* Serves as a liaison between Accounting Department and Human Resource Department to ensure optimal use of the HRIS systems;
* Other duties and special projects as needed.
**Required Education / Certification**
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to Accounting and / or Human Resources, and Certification in HR or Payroll is preferred.
**Required Experience**
Prefer at least three years payroll processing experience, familiarity with timekeeping systems and knowledge of office administration procedures. Must be familiar with multi-state tax deposit and tax filing.
**Required Skills**
* Excellent data entry skills with 40 key strokes or more per minute;****
* Work requires continual attention to detail in data entry, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines;****
* Strong organization skills;****
* Ability to manage large volume of confidential and time sensitive documents;****
* Communication skills necessary to resolve payroll issues with internal customers at all levels.****
