We are looking to hire an experienced Wellness Director for YO1 Center, a modern and unique exclusive resort & wellness center (alternative healthcare) with guest rooms and support spaces totaling over 260,000 square feet located in Monticello, New York. This role is based in Monticello, New York, within Sullivan County, two hours from Manhattan and a short drive from Middletown, Port Jervis and Milford.

The Wellness Director is responsible for the operational and financial direction of the wellness facility and collaboration with naturopathic and ayurvedic practitioners in developing and implementing respective therapies, treatments, and activities. The position will oversee massage therapists, physical therapists and acupuncture therapists among other staff. This position requires an adherence to the highest quality standards and an ability to be curious in regards to not only understanding the guest experience but how to improve it by exceeding the guests' expectations.

+ Manages labor costs, supplies and other line items in budget.

+ Manages and coordinates the work of all therapists, communicating pertinent health and safety information. This includes overseeing and/or completing therapist schedules weekly, and daily assignments.

+ Plans and schedules staff training programs. Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.

+ Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

+ Ensures compliance with all state regulatory requirements including mandatory reporting to State. Ensures that all concern and incident reports are completed, filed and that follow-up is conducted appropriately.

+ Monitors documentation systems to ensure that all regulatory time frames for review of assessments and therapy plans are met.


+ College degree preferably specializing in hotel management, business management; or 2 year Associates Degree with equivalent experience is required.

+ Three years or more experience in a Director or similar role is requried.

+ CPR Certification preferred.

+ Must be strategic and proactive with a proven track record in both the sales and marketing of a Wellness/Spa facility.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with effective leadership demonstrated in previous position(s) held.

+ Experience in analyzing financial information, preparation of operational and capital budgets, making strategic decisions that have a progressive impact on moving the business and its people forward, are a plus.
